For more than two decades, the Kiwanis Club of Golden and Scout Troop 130 have brought our community together through one of Golden’s most cherished traditions: the American Flag Project. Each year, families and businesses across our city proudly display the Stars and Stripes — a symbol of service, remembrance, and community pride.

More than 230 flags fly across Golden five times a year on Memorial Day, Flag Day, July 4th, Labor Day, and Veterans Day. Each flag is respectfully installed and retired by a Scout in uniform, following proper flag etiquette — a meaningful service experience that builds leadership, responsibility, and civic pride.

Why We Do It

Your subscription does far more than place a flag in your yard. It fuels programs that strengthen Golden’s children, families, and schools. Proceeds support Scout Troop 130 service and Eagle projects, Golden High School scholarships, the Sweet Dream Project, the Write Stuff school supply program, BGoldN Food Pantry, the Salvation Army, and many other youth and family initiatives. Every dollar stays right here in Golden — helping us serve more neighbors each year.
